Studying the Reality of Racket Sports' Administrative Problems In Iraq

Abstract

The study refers to the importance of identifying the administrative problems that hinder the development of the Racket Sports Federations in Iraq. The problem of the study can be summed up in this question: Are the Racket Sports Federations in Iraq plagued with any administrative problems that hinder their development or access to achievement? The researcher used the descriptive method in a survey manner. The community of the study consisted of (302) subjects while the sample of the study included only (277) coaches and referees from (4) Racket Sports Federations in Iraq (Tennis، Squash، Badminton، Table Tennis). The results of this study showed that these federations suffer from administrative problems in several aspects (1- leadership and decision- making، 2- planning، 3- organization، 4- supervision and guidance، 5- communication and coordination، 6- oversight). The researcher has prominently recommends: to emphasize the development of solutions to the administrative problems of the Racket Sports Federations in Iraq by selecting the proper efficient administrative leaders with good experience in the field of the game and management; the need for developing long-term and short-term plans; providing financial support and infrastructure; engaging the sports staff in local and international developmental courses; as well as building a sophisticated administrative organizational structure that works according to scientific systems and foundations; Using modern social media، and increase communication with international federations and sub-associations; and finally the need to pay attention to the supervision system and its development
