Examining the efficacy of gamification-based instructional exercises in enhancing certain motor skills specifically , agility, dynamic balance , coordination and transitional speed among College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences students was the primary objective of this research . The purpose of the study was to give evidence that students' interest , participation and engagement in physical learning can be enhanced by introducing game based aspects into educational activities . These factors include challenge , competition , motivation and reinforcement . There was a statistically equivalent control group and an experimental group that underwent post-testing as part of the research design. During the 2025–2026 school year researchers from the University of Baghdad's College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences surveyed 34 male third year students from Section (C) . Each of the two groups consisted of 17 students chosen at random . Using gamification as a framework one set of students engaged in educational activities while the other group received more traditional instruction . Before and after the instructional program was implemented the motor abilities that were investigated transitional speed , agility , dynamic balance and coordination were tested . There was a statistically significant improvement in the experimental group's performance between the pretest and posttests . When comparing the two groups after the test the experimental group performed better on all of the measured variables . According to the results gamification can be a great substitute for traditional physical education methods of instruction and can have a favourable effect on the development of motor skills .
