The aim of the study is to prepare a training program using special exercises for developing explosive power. It also aim at identifying the effects of these exercises on the results of pre and posttests in developing explosive power using electronic power measurement platform in futsal players with special needs. The researcher hypothesized statistical differences between pre and posttests results due to the effects of special exercises that develop explosive power using electronic power measurement platform for futsal players with special needs. The researcher used the experimental method using individual groups with two tests; pretests and posttests. The subjects were selected from futsal league players of the Iraqi Special Olympics Federation for the mentally retarded. The subjects were (5) futsal players of the age 19.34 years, with standard deviation about 2.65, their weight was 55.40Kg and with a standard deviation about 2.97. They all have simple mental retardation. The platform was used for the following variables ; height of jump, time of flight, time of push, speed and power. The researcher concluded that using special exercises helped in uplifting the level of explosive power of futsal players and improved their performance. In addition to that, applying the proposed training program developed the variables of the study and the correct gradual increase in training load according to the players' abilities and level of adaptation developed the explosive power. The researcher recommended benefiting from the proposed training program to develop explosive power in futsal players with special needs. He also recommended using special exercises for improving the physical abilities due to their great role in developing these traits. Finally he recommended making similar studies and researches on other physical traits and in other sports for players with special needs
