The effect of a psychological counselling approach on cognitive load and mental fatigue among young 110-meter hurdles athletes

The research aimed to identify and build two specialized scales for cognitive load and mental stress and to identify the level of each of them among 110-meter steeplechase runners among youth, and to prepare a psychological counseling approach to reduce the level of cognitive load and mental stress among 110-meter steeplechase runners among youth, so that the two research hypotheses are that there are differences. There are statistically significant differences between the results of the pre- and post-tests of the experimental group in measuring cognitive load. There are statistically significant differences between the results of the pre- and post-tests of the experimental group in measuring mental stress. The experimental method was adopted by designing a single experimental group with a pre- and post-test. On a sample of (8) runners who ran a distance of (100) meters from the youth category, was chosen intentionally after wiping the scales to represent (42.105%) of their society represented by the two times that ran (110) meters of contraindications from the youth number of (19) runners in The Sports Army Club for the Sports Decree (2023/2024), as was chosen from a similar society from other Baghdad clubs for the same event (5) runners for the exploratory experience, and (105) runners -up for the building sample, and two specialties were built for this category of runners and in a manner that is appropriate for the specificity of the current research By adopting several steps, and then preparing the psychological counseling approach based on the reduction of both the two phenomena, which are speaking to the adoption of the diagnostic measurement, and it was applied with the research experience that started with the application of the two phenomena -speaking phenomena in the tribal tests on Sunday (3/3/2024), and then applying the program The psychological counseling of the ran (110) meters of contraindications for the period from (4/3/2024) until (10/4/2024), and for Monday of each week, and the experimentation of experimenting with dimensional tests on Thursday (11/4/2024), To be processed by data (SPSS) So that the conclusions and applications are that the two measures of cognitive-cognitive play and mental stress are suitable for young (100) meter steeplechase runners, they are suitable for what they were prepared for to measure these two phenomena, and each of them has the scientific conditions for the foundations and parameters for accepting the measures in sports psychology, and the practical applications of the psychological counseling approach based on To reduce the level of cognitive load and mental stress, it is suitable for young 100-meter steeplechase runners. It is necessary to pay attention to diagnostic psychological measurement and its applications to young 100-meter steeplechase runners to monitor their psychological state and avoid or reduce psychological problems before their level increases. It is necessary to take into account The specificity of the training and competitive environment, hostile (100) meters, obstacles and concepts of specialized sports psychology in preparing the appropriate psychological counseling curriculum for this category of youth.
