Abstract

The importance of the research lies in the role of feedback in learning and
developing skills. The problem of the research lies in not finding the best teaching styles in
teaching tennis although it is one of the most important courses in our college. The
researcher aimed at idenifying the effect of some feedback styels used as teaching aids in
tennis serving as well as idenifying the differences between experimental and controlling
groups using feedback. The researcher hypothesized the great effect of feedback training
using teaching aids in learning tennis serve. In addition to that, the researcher hypothesized
statistical differences between experiemtnal and controling groups. The reseacher used the
experimental method. The subjects were (50) third year students of Physical Education &
Sport Sciences College divided equally into two groups; the experimental and the controling
groups. Many tests were used including speed of performance, accuracy of performance,
explosive power for the striking hand and lower extrimities tests. Skill tests were also used
like serving evluation test. The main experiment included full academic year with one lesson
per week for 90minutes. The results showed the positive effect of teaching program using
feedback on the development of performance level as well as the great role of teaching aids on increasing the students' level of learning. Finally the researcher recommeded using the
teaching program and avaible teaching aids during display and explanation of skill to
students.
