Abstract

The importance of the research is to evaluate the positive and negative of goalkeeper's different skills, and the benefits of match participation. The researcher noticed variances and differences in goalkeepers' performance of different skills which affect the performance of the team. The problem of the research lies in the lack of scientific evaluation that measures goalkeepers' effort throughout the match. The aims of the research are:1.Preparing an evaluation form to evaluate the goalkeepers' actual effort in handball.2.Identifying the effect of actual goalkeeper's effort in handball.The subjects were 12 goalkeepers from elite handball league clubs (Al Kurk, Al Jaish, Neft and Jenoob, Neft al wesat, and Diala).The researcher concluded that Neft Al Jenoob club has the highest actual effort while Neft al Wesat has the lowest actual effort.The researcher recommended the following:1.The necessity of using the results of this research for correct training and to overcome limitations in performance.2.Making similar researcher to find coefficients for goalkeeper's effective.
