The Effect of Live Electronic Modeling and Fan Cards Strategy on Learning Dribbling and Chest Pass in Basketball for First Secondary School Students

The research aimed at identifying the effect of using live electronic modeling and fan cards strategy on learning dribbling and chest passing in basketball for first grade secondary school students. The subjects were (75) students from Al Mustafa High School for boys in Baghdad, (56) students were selected and divided into 20 for pilot study, 36 divided into three equal groups; two experimental groups and one controlling group. The researcher used the experimental method and applied live electronic modeling on the first group, fan cards strategy on the second group while the controlling group followed the traditional teaching style. The teaching program lasted for eight weeks; each session lasted for 45 minutes. The researcher used SPSS to treat the results and conclude that applying live electronic modeling and fan cards strategy have a significant effect on learning dribbling and chest passing in basketball secondary students compared to the traditional teaching style. He also concluded that live electronic modeling was better than fan cards strategy. Finally, the research recommended encouraging teachers using these strategies in different sports as well as in learning different skills.
